the sTriP
the sTriP started life in 1994, following the breakup of Liquid Menthol Tortoise. johnnie and james decided to remain as a two-piece with Johnnie playing guitar and singing and James playing the drums. They had a couple of practices, wrote a couple of songs and in January 1995 recorded their first album "Skinny Top, Heavy Bottom" - a fourteen song cassette first available through Cakehole's spring 1995 catalogue. Cakehole described it as "...stroppy teen punk/pop/skiffle angst. At last, a hummable Cakehole release!"

After that came many more albums released under a variety of names. the sTriP died in 1998.
